How & Why to Vote

Answer: The whole purpose of this site it to take lots of videos and lots of votes and put them together to discover great videos. Voting is what determines which videos rise to the top. By voting, you help determine the results that get showcased on the Channels page. Your votes also determine who are the top videos in the Opportunities. And because voting is a such a key to a system like this, we've built in "Voter Ratings" that allow you as a voter to win cash and prizes for your quality voting. Answer: Select a category and request a pair of videos for review. Listen to at least the first 10% of each video (The Cast Vote button won't apprear until you do). Then simply move the sliders into the approximate area in which you think the videos rating belongs. The system will automatically select the winner based on which vote is higher. After you cast your vote, you will see a chart of ranges. The closer your vote is to the center of the range, the higher your voter rating. Your voter rating goes up when you successfully vote withing the range that all other voters have also voted. A wide range means a big diversity of votes, and a narrow range means that most voters agree in their ratings. If you vote outside the range, the system will detect the vote as an attempt to "game" the system and throw it out, and your voter rating will go down. Your voter rating is important, because a high voter rating can win you cash and prizes.

As mentioned above, your voter rating can earn you cash and prizes. Each "Opportunity" posted has 1 or more top voter slots. You can vote for videos in any Opportunity. You will have an overall voter rating in your account, but your votes within each Opportunity are grouped together to determine your voter rating for that Opporunity.
